Not surprisingly, it is also the heart of the financial district with many of the big families living in Manhattan, In the headlines at this moment is the story of the Long Island serial killer. Rex Heuermann, who killed 18 young ladies in a spell from 1996 to 2011.  There are several key questions to be asked at this stage; one of the main ones is why did he need 95 guns, even with US gun laws, this is a case of overkill. The next question is twofold, with that many weapons, he must have come to the notice of the Mafia, how did they view him?  Re-Writing my History Since mentioning my first published short story several weeks ago; I have been pondering the idea of re-writing it. If I did this, I would have to make it more sexual in content than the original, but then again, I wrote the original story almost 50 years ago.

 What happened to Lana Pawcel? This isn't Fake News , years ago, I was on a site chatting to another writer  who I had known for several weeks, and he asked was I male of female as I put this ebook for sale on the site? People who knew me, not many of them I connect with these days, will tell you I love word games. It will come as no surprise that Lana Pawcel is an anagram of my name. Where did she come from? I devised her as an experiment in writing , I was trying to find out if a man using a lady's name could sell a romance . Though the post on this subject remains my most read, even after a decade, the book never sold. I devised her also as a penname, at the time I was writing for a children's charity book, and didn't our work damaged by this type of story. What happened to Lana? In short, as her stories never sold, I killed her off. I decided as I was no longer concerned about my reputation as a writer , I would write under my name from now on.

 Rain Again Our bee hives will be filled with workers who cannot get to work again today, the rain hasn't stopped for hours, and we've had so much it isn't doing the plants or herbs any good.

 All for a respite I admit, yesterday was one of my worst days for a long time; everything I did went wrong from the time I got up until when I went to bed - too early for me - at 7.00 PM. I had a bad night worrying over how I could afford a replacement for my Chromebook ; the sitaution was not helped when my Dell laptop decided to clear my settings.  I think it must have been the atmosphere causing the problems, at around 11.00 PM, the Chromebook began to work again - what a relief - the Chromebook is my workhorse. I use the Dell as little as possible, mainly for downloading films from India .

 2 States Reena Roy I apreciate beauty is a personal concept, so this is my take on the subject. This story has many similiarits between the ladies, and many differences in the men involved.  People Against Progress There's a lot to be said against progress. In the old days, if there was an illness it stayed localised; it didn't end up thousands of miles away. I think I was more content before I had a computer; I certainly did more reading, and found it less of a task to concentrate.
