What is a Blighty? I don't think I'd be far wrong in thinking, most ex-service personnel, and members of the older generation know the line "They say there's a troopship just leaving Bombay , bound for old Blighty shore." In this context it means your tour if duty is over, the term "Blighty" was first used in WW1 , but I doubt if anybody knows the origin of the term a "blighty."
