Did I wait too long?

I am a reader of many varieties of books. Either I expected more than I got, or I waited too long to read the books. I had wanted to read both Satre and Checkov for many years. When I did, I found them both a hard task to continue reading. Checkov I found to be boring, while Sartre I found was too pensive and lacking enough to maintain my interest. I had the same problem with Graeme Greene , other than the "The Third Man." As I wish to read Pushkin , I hope he is better than his fellow Russian Checkov.

What do you think I read? There are times when I surprise even my closest friends with what I read, as this post shows    https://disqus.com/home/discussion/channel-indieworld/existentialism_and_whiskey/ .

Staring into the abyss

Is there a way back from the edge? I often think I am like the character Carl Kolchak,   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolchak:_The_Night_Stalker , as the majority of my writing is never seen. In the words of  Hunter S. Thompson , I am a vagrant journalist  https://hereiamattheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/i-am-vagrant-journalist.html#.WYHUG4grLIU . After being a semi-successful writer of  #scifi   hereiamattheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2016/10/without-forgestriker.html#.WYHY24grLIU , I have dropped to being a  blogger  like many thousands of teens who blog about pop music – how the mighty have fallen.

Is our path preordained?

Do we have the choice? Facebook quizzes   To wile the time away, sometimes I partake in the quizzes on Facebook . One question I ask myself Do my choices influence the answer, or am I heading to one of a set number of destinations? Are our lives like that? A series of preordained goals, of which we have no knowledge. Are we just making decisions to get us to a set destination, rather than choosing our destiny? Biography   As I came to question some of my earlier choices. Things I do/did that at the time meant nothing, I find myself questioning their cause. Sports   Anyone who has read my blog for any length of time will notice I rarely blog about sports; I may do the occasional blog about motorcycle racing, but that is all. I have never been any good at sports, even in school. The only sports I was good at were long distance swimming, and long distance running. Sleeping    Sleeping is something most of us never gave second thought, sle...
