A time to remember
October 18th, 2009 A birthday to remember This was the scene on October 18th , 2009 in Lac La Biche, Alberta, Canada . Weeks earlier, the same scene was a beautiful fall landscape. My birthday treat from my late friend Faye, and her daughter Marge was a meal at The Ginger House in Lac La Biche. The meal was an all you can eat for $15 setting; as we didn't go out a lot, this was a real treat for us. I never had the opportunity to give Faye what she wanted - a Christmas together - this was as close as we got.
