The two Queens 👑 A sight that has stayed with me since 1963 is that of seeing the two Queens, RMS Queen Mary , and her sister RMS Queen Elizabeth leaving Southampton water on their final journey from the UK . They were built as passenger liners for trips to the USA , but are remembered more for being the lfeline for Britain in WW2 . Make no mistake without these two lovely ships, Britain would have lost the war. At the time, there were no ships which could match thier speed.
