Two sides of a story Several people I used to know questioned why I never called myself a bestselling writer of science-fiction , as my Forgestriker series has sold over 1,200 eBooks. Though my sales figures look impressive, my earnings came to less than $1 a month, that is why I never calimed to be a bestseller . The reason for the difference is the site I was using to publish my writing were scamming me by sending books to lending libraries; the libraries would be paid for renting out, they would pay the site for the material, but until the book sold a set number I ever saw a dime, the problem in we never know the number of sales needed to be paid.
