The two-edged sword of evil The Hindi film I am watching poses a dilemna. This is one of the reasons I prefer the older films from India ; they are stories with a little music, not like the fims since 1998 which are musical s with as little acting as possible. This story centres on a man who is given the task of selling the jewellery of a friend's wife, so the friend can pay a debt, but he is not to tell anyone. Before the man can return with the money, his friend dies, what to do next? He takes the money home, and explains to his wife that by investing in some land, they can escape poverty, but the wife says "nothing good will come of this money, it is not ours to use." As he is on his way out, his wife rushes to the door to block him; she proclaims "this is the barrier between good, and evil. On the inside we are living a good life, if you step out, you are entering a world of evil, and I will have nothing to do with you."
