Here I am at the edge

 Aruna Irani and Reena Roy A movie I have been trying to buy has turned up on eBay this week. The film, Ladies Tailor , is about a man who is the tailor to film stats in Mumbai - Bombay when the film was produced in 1981 - I've been seeking the film as it has two of my favourite Bollywood actresses in, Aruna Irani , and Reena Roy . I have seen many films of both ladies, but I think this is the first with both in the same movie. Apparently, they have appeared together in two other films, a western called Kachche Heere , and the horror movie Jaani Dushman . Jaani is easy to buy, but the western is unavailable. I am hoping Aruna gets a better tole than most of the films I have seen her in, for her ability as an actress in Bollywood , her parts are usually little more than a walk-on extra, which is terrible considering her talent compared to some of the other ladies I have watched.  Films with Aruna Irani Among my collection of films from India , I have several with Aruna Itanii in, the lady oon the left, my dilemna is I don't know whether to keep them as she has a small role in each, or sell them?  The lady on the right is Bindu Desai , Aruna's first-cousin, and an actress.

 Two ladies with two degrees of success There is little doubt part of Reena Roy 's success in Bollywood was down to her looks, but the secret to her success, and larger parts than Aruna Irani lies in a career choice. While Aruna was an excellent character actress, she never had the opportunity to shine as Reena had, the reason is Reena was also a dancer, so she got parts for her dancing. It is sad to see such wonderful actresses, including Waheeda Rehman , having to appear on junk shows such as Kofee with Karan , and the Kapil Sharma show opposite a failed actor dressed as a lady; you could relate the shows to I'm a Celebrity on UK tv.  Not what I was expecting A parcel arrived from eBay this afternoon that caused me some confusion , why? First, I wasn't expecting a parcel - a small package the sise of a letter, yes - only one of the five titles had I looked at on the site, so what had happened? The error was the seller sent the wrong selection . I am not complaining, the set I was sent is more to my liking than the one I am bidding on. In this package are films with two of my fave ladies in Bollywood , Aruna Irani and Reena Roy .

 Aruna Irani and Reena Roy Last night, I was watching this film about a pair of twins, played by Rekha , who swap identities to track the man who tried to kill one of them. In the film I was looking for an actress I like called Reena Roy , but I couldn't see her. It was only when I checked the cast list on IMDb I saw the errors of my ways; the lady I should have recognised is another favorite of mine from Bollywoood , Aruna Irani . Once I knew the error of my ways, the identifaction of the actress made sense.

 More Romance? Aruna Irani At the moment, my focus for a story is India . I have for a long time had an interest in the state, it has nothing to do with either the series The Jewel in the Crown , or the movie The Far Pavillions . My interest goes beyond the days of the Raj, and the British Empire ; I am a Royalist , but not an Imperialist . I believe the best people to run a country, are the people living there, not some far-off- politician . On a more fundemantal basis, few Empires last, mainly because the are so costly.  I have several ideas for stories, I will need to consider how I can write them to fit this blog . I realise the readershp on here is low, but at least it will get read over time, if I put these for sale, there is little chance any will be bought as I don't write the type of story that sells these days.
