There's a lot to be said against progress.
In the old days, if there was an illness it stayed localised; it didn't end up thousands of miles away.
I think I was more content before I had a computer; I certainly did more reading, and found it less of a task to concentrate.

BSB Oulton Park   The risks involved in motorcycle  racing are enormous, riders accept an accident may happen, but they shouldn't have to worry about being kicked off the track as happened at  Oulton Park  this weekend. In my opinion, if a rider is willing to do that no penalty is hard enough, other than a ban on racing.

The collected stories of the Forgestriker crew These are the stories of the men aboard the research vessel  Forgestriker ; sent to set up a listening station on the planet Gameroom, then men find out that all is not what it seems. Fighting for their lives, in a never ending series of rear-guard actions; the mind plays tricks on you, and for some, the endless fight gets too much.
