  My life before Covid My Prison Yard is a 2008 film from Spain about a women's prison which features several of my favorite actresses such as Candela Pena (shown here), Blanca Portillo , and Ana Waggerner . The main character is a drug user who cannot function outside the prison envirinment, this is how I have felt in the last three years as my disability has got to the point where even a short walk is too painful for me. My prison yard is our gardens as that is how far I can walk; some days I am worried my legs will give way as they did recently. I was fortunate, the only injury I had was a scalded right hand as I was carrying a cup of coffee when my right knee gave way. Four years ago, I had a more serious accident when my left ankle gave way and I crashed to the kitchen floor damaging my hip.

What Microsoft plan is one step from witchcraft  I haven't seen the series Black Mirror , apparently, it deals with the consequences of having little control over what science does. In one episode the scientists develop a chatbot made from images and audio of dead people, not only does it go wrong but it goes against ALL religion, not that Microsoft care what people think.  Do they plan to cross the ultimate boundary and try to achieve what Dr. Frankenstein could not, life from the dead. Thus establishing Bill Gates as God.

  They are at the end of the line Whitby , North Yorkshire may not appear to have a lot in common with the UK, until you realize they are both at the end of the line. Whitby is at the end of train line from York to the Yorkshire coast, and the UK is at the end of the line for people travelling west across Europe .

 Operation DVD diver One of my delights in hunting older films from India is I came across a new section, to me, of films I consider very good - some I am not a fan of - but it is impossible to like all films. For a long time, I thought Indian movies were musical extravaganzas - some are - but most films from the 50s are good stories with a musical element. Unfortunately, for me, the trend has swung back with the rise of Shah Rukh Khan , and his namesake Salman Khan . Salman may like to consider himself the King of Bollywood , aparently if you cros him you don't work in Bollywood. As Bollywood covers about 80% of India there is little opotunity to make a successful film, as it won't get the neccessary publication. However, SK's last two films have "tanked" according the the IMDb ratings, neither got more than 3 out of 10. I made an error last week, I thought I was buying the film Jaani Dushman , which is a horror film, according to the full title the film is

  Do not use your imagination I have suffered from insomnia for most of my life, I put it down to staying up to listen to the cricket from Australia in my teens. But it has got worse since I became a writer , now I cannot stop thinking of short stories to write, even if I don't write them.

  Luna Nera The series Luna Nera on Nerflix is fascinating on many fronts, not only how ladies who had unusual gifts were treated and hunted as witches, but in the respect that knowing people can change your outlook on them. I don't know how much of this story is fact, or what is fact, but history tells us about a group of people who lived in Medieval Italy calling themselves Benandanti who claimed to have the ability to leave their bodies to fight witches and protect farms in their dreams. Sooner, or later, the Catholic church was bound to hear of these people, and not long after during the Roman Inquisition, they were hunted as heretics, and the hunters became the hunted.

  The Mayan Calender In 2012 there was a major panic caused by experts who claimed a Mayan calender predicted the end of the world would come that year. Is it possible they had the correct figures, but in the wrong order? Could the date have been 2021, not 2012? With the spread of the Coronavirus by the Chinese last year, and now the second generation of mutations, we have to ask ourselves this question.
