The hunters who became the hunted

The series Luna Nera on Nerflix is fascinating on many fronts, not only how ladies who had unusual gifts were treated and hunted as witches, but in the respect that knowing people can change your outlook on them.

I don't know how much of this story is fact, or what is fact, but history tells us about a group of people who lived in Medieval Italy calling themselves Benandanti who claimed to have the ability to leave their bodies to fight witches and protect farms in their dreams.

Sooner, or later, the Catholic church was bound to hear of these people, and not long after during the Roman Inquisition, they were hunted as heretics, and the hunters became the hunted.
