Here I am at the edge

 Has Winter come? Tell me about it! I thought the panic over Global Warming was a scam, now there is proof. A photograph taken from an EU space probe shows the the Arctic ice is growing, not shrinking. True, the ice is cracking, that is the due to the extra weight it has to support, not warming, and besides this has been happening since time began, and will continue long after we have passed. Here is another example, we are in mid- June , the longest day is next weekend, and once the sun goes down we have to put the heating on. You could say the warming is sending cold air', but you are stretching the truth to fit a theory that has no base in fact.

  Moving across Europe My blog may not have many readers , yet it is spreading its wings; I donlt know if that is good that it reaches new areas, or bad that the readers I have are now spread thinner? Today I welcome readers in  Lithuania to the blog.

 It would kill the publishing world I could write a book , or at least a short story, about my experiences with the world of publishing ; if I did, it would probably put any writer off the idea of being published . In my experience, there are a few things you need to get a book published; I said when I began my journey, all those 15 years ago, you need money, and I stand by that now. Without money , you cannot afford to go to college to earn a degree, without a degree a publisher won't take you serious. Without money, you cannot pay for the publicity to get work seen, so there will be no sales. Another vital element is to live in the USA ; I sent numerous emails to publishers , most got ignored; if I did get a reply it was a generic refusal with only the name changed, one publisher proved they never read my request they got my gender , and name wrong. These days you need to pick your distributor carefully, a lot of sites are a scam , as I found out this year.

 The SNP made Scotland a third-world country With Nicola Sturgeon at it's helm, the SNP turned Scotland into a state worse than many third-world countries; it will take a long time, and effort, to negate this stigma. To take Scotlan back would mean the EU would be requried to take on a heavy financial burden, and as the EU is the bank for Germany , the last thing the Germans want is to have to pay out; the EU is there to aid a German financial recovery which is why countries are leaving, why should they finance another country?

 How the EU feels about the SNP Several years ago, Nicola Sturgeon , leader of the Scottish Nationalist Party , decided she'd try to talk to Angela Merkel , the leader of the EU, at the time. Her plan was to meet the German Chancelloer in the grand halls of the  reichstag  (German Parliament); to show how little Germany regarded the SNP she was met by a junior minister in a cafe on the autobahn.

 Ruth Davidson During the last election, the then leader of the Scottish Conservative Party , Ruth Davidson , said she would be happy to take on the lob of First Minister of Scotland . With the debacle of Nicola Sturgeon , and the gross misspending of the Scottish Nationalist Party , I wonder how she feels now? On the positive side, this is the time to make a name for yourself, and turn the around. There is a snag, not that it would matter to me, being a stauch Catholic state, I wounder how the country would feel about having a leader who is a member of the LGBT community?

 A relic of my past A few minutes ago, I turned up a relic from my past; I found I still had a copy of the vintage map of Yorkshire shown above. I bought my copy over 50 years ago, when I was stationed in Scotland ; I was sure it was lost in the fire several years ago. Sadly, like all of us, age has taken its toll, and the map has to be ditched as the paper is to frail to open. It wouldn't cost much to replace.
