 How the EU feels about the SNP

Several years ago, Nicola Sturgeon, leader of the Scottish Nationalist Party, decided she'd try to talk to Angela Merkel, the leader of the EU, at the time. Her plan was to meet the German Chancelloer in the grand halls of the reichstag (German Parliament); to show how little Germany regarded the SNP she was met by a junior minister in a cafe on the autobahn.
