Here I am at the edge

I can't understand how the weather forecasters on television keep their jobs. Two days without rain and they call it a heatwave. If they'd checked online reports from Spain they would have seen the Spanish Plume brought torrential rain, not the sun 🌞🌞

At the bottom and looking up. I decided to give 1 in 3 stories away that I write for Draft2Digital, there is no difference in doing this to putting them online to be read. If I thought I could see the light at the end of the tunnel, I'd try to hang on, but all I see is the dark ahead.

Heading back to US Science Fiction. Four years ago, I had no intention of being classed as a bestseller , especially in the Science Fiction  genre. After the success of my series, https://hereiamattheedgeblogspotcouk.wordpress.com/2018/05/15/my-bestsellers/ , I did think of moving away from SciFi, but it's what I write well, and it sells, so how can I change?

A frightening calm. I should be excited and nervous at the possibility of my book being published, but I am not, why? To save myself from disappointment, I try not to get too positive in my thoughts, that way I don't get too upset when nothing happens. If I get the contact and a request for more stories, then I will get nervous.

Readers, not buyers. As I have given up hope of selling my work, I am putting a lot of my stories on my friend's Disqus page    https://disqus.com/home/discussion/channel-mncmyneutralchannel/murns_request/ . At the present rate of one or two a day, assuming I don't write anymore, I have enough to see me into the new year.

Time to relax with a good book. Unlike some authors, I don't get a boost with Christmas sales. My boost used to happen at this time of year until last year. The slump that began before Christmas 2017 continued until February this year and only stopped for a month. It's soul-destroying to be a writer and put some many months into a book that won't sell.

Jack of many genres. I have been a writer for over a decade, and I earned several reps for my work. I wonder how my readers view me as a writer? One thing I say is how you see me depends how on how long you have been reading my work. In all this time, few people have told me how they see me as a writer.

A romance in the college. A few years ago, I surprise myself by writing a  Young Adult romance  hereiamattheedgeblogspotcouk.wordpress.com/2018/05/17/a-ya-romance-from-me/    If the book had sold, I was going to extend the story, isn't that the story of my life, IF.

The news is no surprise to me. The news I have twice as many readers for my  blog  in  Brazil  comes as no surprise to me. I'd have more success catching a camel in the Arctic than getting readers in the UK .
