Enjoy a Free eBook

Why pay the writer? I can't vouch for other writers , but in my case, if you buy one of my eBook selection from Draft2Digital ; I will not see any money for your purchase. They send copies to lending libraries, who get paid to sell them to the readers; if an eBook reaches a set figure of sales, the funds atr sent back, and the writer will see some money; the catch is nobody knnos that figure.

You ask - why stop writing if you enjoy it?

I found much of the Publishing World is a sereis of SCAMS This post will show why I never considered myself a bestseller in the world of Indie Writing , also it will show the difference in knowledge and reality. I am not suprised my friend Julia, in Seattle considers me a bestselling author; according to the sales record from Draft2Digital , I sols 18 eBooks a month for a decade, which is great for an Indie Writer . If I earned $0,50 cents a copy, I shou;d have had roaylties at least every three months. The reality is I did sell the eBooks , but got paid once a year; if I was fortunate, which was a rarity in itself.

Nobody knows or cares about us

The Unseen people My eBook (shown above) was written to thank the people that nobody sees ot hears about; we know they are there, but few get the credit the deserve. Who am I writing about? The camera crews around the world. The story behind my story stems from the day I was at a friend's. and she was watching Lorraine Kelly walking across a sand dune, all she could say was how hot it was, and how her feet were covered in the sand. In that moment, I had one thought "You Bitch." I know cameras are not as bulky as they used to be, thank the Lord for that. but someone has to carry then so the celebrity can be seen. Next time you watch a video of someone walking down a dark corridor towards the camera, give a thought to the camera crew who went ahead with less light than a torch.

You can turn a believer into a sceptic If you believe, which I don't, what you are told on the YouTube channels The Cotswold Rambler , and Ghost Walk , they contain so much BS you could fetilise half of the state of Kansas with what you are told. Everywhere is either the most haunted castle, house, or inn in the UK , it does beg belief. I doubt the sincerity of both presenters, the reason for this is they run a tour of the sites; so a YuuTube channel is an excellent marketing tool .  The reason I believe the young lady who runs the Ghost Casebook channel is genuine is that she says her reports are "claimed," whereas the other two state they are genuine reports.

Did Cleopatra exist?

A new cult A new cult has been formed, headed by Profeesor Brian Cox , who is paid by the University of Manchester to prove there is no sentient life other than on Earth in our galaxy . Working with him is Dr, Joann Fletche r who spent an hour talking about a male skeleton, before she found out it is a female; she also went to the University of Manchester.  To video the search they enlisted the men from Ghost Walks , and the Cotswold Rambler . The basis of their thesis is that as  Cleopatra 's tomb has never been fund, did she exist? If she believed herself to be the embodiement of Isis , did she return?

They could be genuine - but?

The Cotswold Rambler Another YouTube site I doubt is called  The Cotswold Rambler ; why do I doubt this site, and The Ghost Walk site, and not Ghost Casebook . They are all on YouTube, and talk of ghosts ?  I believe the young lady talking in the Ghost Casebook for two main reasons; she is not the certre of the series, as the men in the other series are, and as far as I can tell she doesn't run, nor publicise a ghost tour . I could be wrong, but I get the impression the men are only publicising thier tours, and are not interested in the story; as I pointed out in the Ghost Walks tour post.

Ghost Walks tour

A tour guide with no idea I will start as I mean to go on. On YouTube there are several presenters who "claim" to have seen a ghost ; perhaps they have. However, when they run a tour, I tend to view the series as publicity for their tour, rather than being of genuine content.  A good example of the scenario is one my wife was watching, I did start to watch the series, but flt the presenter was more interested in being seen than telling a true ghost story . What made me annoyed about this episode? He started off by saying the murder was one of the most notorious in British History , then he named William Corder . I doubt 1% of the people in the UK are failiar with this case, it is similiar to asking who in the USA knows the background to the song " Tom Dooley ?" I doubt 10% of the population have knowledge of the Maria Marten murder, though it was headline news at the time of the murder.  Other than Jack the Ripper , I can name at least half a dozen more notor...
