To people who don't know me, knowing I am reading a book by Edna O'Brien about Lord Byron may come as a surprise, according to one survey men don't read lady writers. 

I will admit, I usually avoid Biographies, especially the celebrity writings, if you want to know about a celebrity read the newspaper or what is online; it is all there. The other type of biog I avoid is all these 25-year-olds who think they have it all; at that age I consider you too young to write a biog.

I do have at least one other biog on my shelves, that is of journalist Marie Colvin who was killed in Syria; I also have the based on her last days.
