The price of success

The road is long 


The path of success favours the wealthy, and those living in the USA; without either, you have as much chance as an ice cube in the Sahara Dessert.
This is not BS; I was an award winning writer once, but living in the UK nobody cared about my book.
An interesting note on the book; at one stage, I sat down to kill my hero, and stared at a blank screen for an hour trying to write his ending; I never did. the reason is I thought who cares?

A state of hearing

Or more aptly - a state of non-hearing.    A  short while ago I conjectured was I getting hearing problems through a wax build or was it because I work for many hours in the presence of washing machines and tumble driers in a small space.   I have to inform you as far as I am able to tell I am going deaf, another problem inherited from my mother.  On the down side, there is no point in getting the PS3 I was looking forward to getting at the end of the month :(  On the up side, at least I won't have to listen to the stupid rows of the family next door and the money saved from not getting a PS3 I can put to a new laptop; which I do need.

Forgestriker- the collection

The collected stories of the Forgestriker crew These are the stories of the men aboard the research vessel  Forgestriker ; sent to set up a listening station on the planet Gameroom, then men find out that all is not what it seems. Fighting for their lives, in a never ending series of rear-guard actions; the mind plays tricks on you, and for some, the endless fight gets too much.
