Digging for Britain

 A Shiver down my spine

I was watching an episode of the series Digging for Britain a few minutes which sent a tingle up my spine, why?
It wasn't anything to do with the digs, it was to do with where the presenter, Alice Roberts, was doing the show.
The show was partially shot in the Bristol City Museum and Art Galleries, where I worked for 14 years. One of the people she talked to, Gail Boyle, I used to know.
DfB is great as it is like Time Team used to be, were they let the artifacts tell the story. The new version is more about showing off the CGI ability of the presenter, who comes from one of the richest families in Ghana.
To demonstrate the uselessness of the new series, here is the best example; they went to a site in Cornwall that the original crew visited over a decade ago, and with all the modern technology available would did they do? Nothing, that's true, with all the drones and CGI available they added nothing to the knowledge the original team did with trowels and know-how.
