What was the first film I saw set in India?

 Northwest Frontier

Last night,  I was trying to recall the first movie I saw set in India. 

Two came to mind, Northwest Frontier with Kenneth More, and Elephant walk with Elizabeth Taylor, then I remberred Elephant Walk is set in Sri Lanka,

As for my current viewing it would require a little research to answer the question.
