The Devdas comparrison

 I will try to remain impartial


As with the Nagin series of films from Bolywood, despite having the preferred edition, in the case of Devdas (1955); I shall try to remain impartial when I compare the three versions I own.
The most glamorous version will without a doubt be the recent one with Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The 1955 version has Dilip Kumar, Suchitra Sen, and Vyjayanthimala in the title roles, I saw, and enjoyed Dilip, and Vyjayanthimala in the film Madhumati a few months ago.
As for the 1936 version, this will be the version I will see with no expectation as I have not heard about, or seen any of the cast.
