I am proud of my heritage

 A fishing tradition

Unlike my mother, I am proud to say I come from a fishing family, my relatives fished the North Sea for generations.

My mother always competed with her sister, Joan, and always wanted my to be like my cousin, Annette, Joan's daughter.

I never stop thanking the Lord, for not being lke Annette, she is a home, and career wrecker. 

I don't know, nor wish to know, the details of her situation; all I know is "it takes two to tango," and the romance should have been stopped.

The man she married, was a married senior officer in the Police Force, a no-go from the off.
