Two of my favorite writers
I am so different
I have had my writing compared to the styles of several writers over the years, yet, I am so different to two of my favourite authors.
Yet, in some ways, they were alike.
Graham Greene had several affairs, though he was married, and Ernest Hemingway had four wives, most notably writer Martha Gellhorn, who earned her rep as a writer before she met Ernest, and refused to be known as the third Mrs. Hemingway.
If I was to liken myself to any author, it would probably be to Hunter S. Thompson, noted for The Rum Diary, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
An irony about Las Vegas is that it was built with MAFIA money, after the original Virginia Hills motel was destroyed, Meyer Lansky said the city would never be more than a two-bit nickle and dime show. How wrong history has proved him to be.
