Who is mad?

 The Insanity of the Genious

We have all seen science fiction films about a mad scientist, but are they truly mad?
There is a branch of science which the people involved are paid to think of a number so small it cannot be bettered, and then name the number. What a waste of a life, and a brain, or is it?
Think about it, seriously, it is the ideal job. You are being paid to find something which is untenable, and then to name it.
It is as complex a project as that of Professor Brian Cox of Manchester University trying to prove there is no life other than on this planet in the universe. No wonder I call Manchester University the Loony Bin, they must have money to burn. By the way, the Uni got its system hacked this week LOL.

This system is as stupid as the American system, I don't know if it still exists, in the late 60s and 70s of tenured Professors who were paid to be on the board, even if they never produced anything. A system of this type exists in the UK today; it is known as the Quabgo. These pare people put on committees that do nothing all day, but still ask for a high wage. All political parties do this with their friends; there is none so two-faced as Niel Kinnock who in 1997 was for the disbanding the House of Lords for wasting public money, but now he sits in that house, he approves of the payments he once attacked as wasteful.
