The movie of Kaattu Vithachavar from India is based on a true case. A small gang of thieves raided a jeweler shop in Kerala, India. Through investigations, it was proved the gang was connected to gangs in the Thar region hundreds of miles to the North.
A group of policemen chased the group to their hideout in the mountains of Rajasthan continually putting their lives at risk to uphold the law they believed was just and would punish the thieves.
They did get their men, in a way, but on the way back they received a message the thieves had been bailed and were free.
It may not be the correct thing to do, but in cases like this, you can understand how an officer could cross the gray line between the law and justice as they did in the series Braquo from France.
It is the same situation as a film I recently saw, a young police officer joined the force to uphold the law he believed to be just, only to see criminals walk free because of corrupt officers, and politicians.
How can you uphold the law, when you know criminal lawyers will let criminals walk free?
Tell me more about Baque and the film!
