Big Ben

 Captain Scarlet


In an early episode of Captain Scarlet, the hero listens to an account that tells him that Big Ben rang 13 times, which may seem like an oversight, or a figment of imagination for the plot. In this case, truth IS stranger than fiction, if you are close enough to Big Ben, it is possible to hear the 13th chime. The reason is that within a mile you get an echo of a chime.
