Here I am at the edge

The  Andeman Islands   I put this post on LinkedIn a few hours ago, and it has already had over 6,000 readers. When people  view the series on TV called The World's worst prisons they forget the  British Empire  opened the worst off the coast of  India . The Andeman Islands is where we sent hundreds of people who supported  independence  for India. Conditions were so bad the water was black and what food they had what  was riddled with weevils. A film i have come across from  Bollywood  called Kaalapani depicts the  riots  which occurred in 1915.

 Life with the Kapoors In my research of the movie and tv industry in India , two things have become glaringly apparent. The first is that the Kapoor family is so entrenched in movies and tv it is hard to make a film anything without at least one of them being involved, and they are now in their 10th generation. The other is how hard it must be to get anywhere win a state with several languages based in the various regions of Bollywood . The second part is never more apparent than last night when I read about several Malayam speaking actresses who commited suicide in their 20s.

  In debt until you retire When our youngest daughter asked me if it was better to get a job, or to go to university  when she left school; I had no difficulty in saying if you get offered a job gratefully accept the offer as employers view work experience higher than education these days. I read so often in posts from graduates that they find themselves in debt until they retire, what a price for a degree !

  Nobody cares As much as it pains me, I decided to adapot the proverb  "Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" as the course of my next action rather than lodge a complaint to Bristol City Council  about cars parked on the pavemnent. I know my non-active pose may result in a serious accident, but why should I do something when other people in the street would stand-by and do nothing?

  Musicals are not for me. At first glance, you would wonder why some films/tv series from India get low ratings on  IMDb .  You have to consider that India is a poor country, and most of the viewers on Netflix and other channels like to forget their everyday life by watching extravagant musical numbers; musicals, except for  The Little Shop of Horrors,  are not for me. Some of the shows I started to watch have large lyrical content, which is a turn-off for me .
