Paid Promotions

 A hard job for little reward

Years ago, I approached several magazines with the intention of getting a short story published.

Most never bothered to reply.

Some came up with the concept that I should promote their magazine, and get paid that way; what was the rate?

For each 100 members I drew in, I would receive $1.

Publishing my writing, never mentioned.
