What am I doing?

One of my great failings is self-doubt; I am always doubting my worth as a writer, mainly because it appears not many eBooks of mine sell.
Several times I have set off an a story, only to reach the point at which I say "What am I doing?"
Why do I ask this question?
Some times I spend months, or even years, on a story only to realise it has no sales potential. This is the main reason I stopped writing; it wasn't that I wasn't getting royalty from Draft2Digital as much as I begin to see a lack of sales potential in my work as I tried to be my voice, not follow the trend.

 The lady is NOT my type Though I am olde, and have standards, I am not a stic-in-the-mud, it does take someting nasty to offend me, and for the second time it has happened.  As with the first incident , the offense involved a young colored lady with larrge breasts, I have nothing againsr coloured ladies, I wasbot offended by this laady asking to see my penis as soon as we chatted, it was a little weird she was so forawrd when she'd only been chatting a few minutes to ask.
