The Seven-year itch

 The Parable of the Seven cows

In a month's time, it will be seven years since we had a Summer we could enjoy.

The pattern depends when you start the count; if you count from the last good summer, we should get a good summer next year, if you start from the year after the previous good year, we won't get a good summer next year either.

I would like to think that the Parable of the Seven fatted calves from the Bible may happen, after seven lean, wet, years, we may be fortunate to have several good summers; I doubt it will happen.

One thing is certain, the story told to children about the North winds; if a wind comes from the north it will be cold, and bring rain. If the wind is from the South it will be warm.

The reason for this is the north winds come across cold lands, and never get warmed. Wind from the south comes from the sea which warms sonner than wind from a land mass.
