Why don't I join Writing groups?
There are many reasons why I rarely join a writing group online; though my friend in Seattle sends me links.
One of the main reasons is over the years, I have found many of the sites are a scam, out to make money of writers who believe the site will help them. The only people who benefit are the people running the site, you usually get asked to buy their books to help sell your book.
Another reason is I find the sites do depressing, when I read teports of book sales, and think how I struggled for over a decade before I realised the Draft2Digital network was keeping most of my royalty fees.
