Solar Flares?

Bird Migration

On my Google news highlights I track bird migration; apparently there has been little solar activity this month which makes me wonder why so many of the bird population come to the UK when their homes are far away?
The latest to land on our shores is a Brindled Tern, its home in usually south of the equator, and in Australia; the nearest location to the UK is in the West Indies.
