                         How the mighty have fallen

In an astoubding case of bribery, F C Barcelona have been told that as from two days ago they cannot function as a company; and the club is to be closed. All this when they have just started building an extension to the stadium.

The case refers to a series of bribes sent to referees over the last decade; this new will rock the soccer world. Only a few months ago, Manchester City were fined heavily for match fixing; if Barcelona can be taken down there are no clubs beyond the law.

I did think there was something peculiar going on, several weeks ago ny daughter told me that Lionel Messi offered to cut his pay by 50%, and the club said they couldn't pay his wages.  When one of the largest clubs in football says they cannot pay their players, you know something "fishy" is going on.
