My Luxury item
Several years ago, I came in for a windfall, my pension payout from 15 years of working for Bristol City Council allowed me to fullfil a few wishes.
One of which was to buy a professional designed book cover, instead of using images from my days as a photographer.
I bought the cover on this post from Selfpub Book Covers for $250, and then realised my only luxury item was going to quickly turn into a millstone around my neck.
I'd advise self-published writers against using the site, unless you can guarantee mass sales for your book, In the ensuing years, my book has only sold three copies.
