Food Porn

 A varied palette

One of the pleasures of being able to travel   https://hereiamattheedge.blogspot.com/p/the-virtual-tourist.html for me was the opportunity to try various national dishes. 

The only countries I visited   https://hereiamattheedge.blogspot.com/2020/02/the-virtual-tourist.html which were a disappointment were the Netherlands and Switzerland.

In the last few weeks, my wife and I have enjoyed watching cooking videos on YouTube. 

There was a restaurant in Cheltenham I wished I had tried, they served Thai food. I did try food from Mexico, which is fine if you like spicy food; a good thing I enjoy Tex-Mex food.

The ironic thing about our day out in Italy, when I went to Switzerland, as we'd had so many types of food that week; we were served the dish of the people who were leaving the next day, I bought of all things the shortest meal on a menu Ham, eggs, and chips - fries - (MNX) :)

Food in the Netherlands was bland, in their defense, they don't have a lot to choose from, and being trapped between two countries - France and Germany - known for good food, they were never going to get recognition. Another thing, the Netherlands, or the parts I visited were geared toward convenience foods from hot boxes, much like the documentation of China and Japan, I watch.
