A good film collaboration
No big names
This film is a first; it is the first film collaboration of two arch-enemies - India and Pakistan. Since the separation in 1948, the two countries have been almost continually at war, with India winning most of the battles.
Though the film, which is about a young lady who foresees a murder, has no major stars in it, the film is an excellent example of a thriller. The only recognized name in the cinema of Bollywood in the film is Neena Gupta, who has a minor role as a fortune-teller.
Oooh, tell us more! Please!!

DeleteThis is a good example of how to produce an excellent film without big names. There is a twist in the tail, which I didn't see. The ending poses the question who are the victims?
I could understand the motive for the murders, but were the murder victims also victims of a social crime for being poor ladies in dire times?
The murder is a police officer who contracted AIDS from her late husband after he had sex with a prostitute. She took it on herself to cleanse the "evil," of these ladies, but are they too not victims of living in a poor country, and having a family to feed with no education, or job prospects?
ReplyDeleteYears ago, I used to know some ladies in the trade because my wife was a sales person for several trade books like Great Universal.
