Dementia

 Short-term memory loss

For some time, I have noticed my short-term memory has failed me. I can hardly recall what I looked up on the internet last night, yet, I can rewrite my early short story selection from many years ago.

I hope this is only a sign of age, as one of my aunts suffered dementia around my age;  however, she did become a widow at the time. 

It is worrying as most of my mother's family, except for an uncle who died from cancer, lived until their mid-80, giving me another 15-20 years.
