Managerial Decisions are to blame not Brexit

 High Street shop closures

When people read about shops closing, it is all to easy to blame Brexit, but people should look closer to home. How can a store run when the Board of Directors award themselves massive pay rises, and golden handshake in a time when many of the people their success depended on are struggling to put food on the table?

Several years ago, when our youngest daughter worked for Superdry, the staff were paid half wages for December and January. The were told if they paid into a share fund they would get rewarded for their loyalty, then the CEO sold half of his shares and the share price halved overnight.
My daughter asked if it was worth keeping the shares, I told her she could wait 10 to 20 years and the shares would still not be worth the paper they are printed on after his actions.
