Thieves of the wood

 Robin Hood

With my interest in the history of Europe growing each week it was inevitable that a series would arise that likened its lead character to Robin Hood.

One such series is the Flemish series Thieves of the wood, however there is one large difference the lead in the series is a man called Jan de Lichte who was a real person, whereas Robin Hood is still a myth.

A better likeness to Robin Hood would be the Spanish outlaw known as Aguila Roja AKA The Red Eagle.
