Yesterday I said I felt like a marathon runner who enters the final lap. Today, I feel like Ron Clarke in Mexico. He competed in the 10,000 metre race and nearly died, after leading as he entered the final lap his legs and heart gave out and he struggled to keep going. Even though he was well ahead, judges could not help outside of urging him and the Kenyans took the medals, as Ron collapsed on the track. He suffered permanent heart problems after the race.
