Here I am at the edge

Often, I played the fool, to my benefit, by telling people that I could write a short story of a certain length and then go further than expected. The ploy brought praise from customers and, for several months, a few pounds extra.

I never overestimated my capability because I knew what I was capable of writing when I was "in the zone."

Ultimately, I was the fool for thinking the blog would bring in sales.

The blog title was devised a decade ago when I truly believed I was at the edge of selling my work - boy, was I mistaken!
