How failures became my best sellers

Holding Richmond, my Amazon #bestseller started life as a failure. I was going to enter the story in a contest, but I couldn't meet the minimum word count of 2,000 words - at that time - now I could easily extend that total.

Since its entrance to Amazon, it has done exceptionally well, mainly because it had two spells of several sales at #Christmas, until last year.

Forgestriker, the second book in the hit series is my outright bestseller despite being panned in the reviews on B&N. I often think was it because the book got panned that led to its success - did people buy it to find out why the book got panned? I'm not complaining about over  250 sales and $100 in earnings.
