Taiwan

China

Taiwan
One of the great things about this blog is that I can see where it gets read. Last night came as a shock to me; I am used to Russia, Germany and to a lesser extent Israel following me, but not Taiwan.

The island of Taiwan is off the coast of mainland China and since the Communist overthrow of the Chinese Nationalist Party has been the seat of power for non-communist Chinese.

Taiwan is known as the place where Chiang Kai Shek   http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/historic_figures/chiang_kaishek.shtml raised the   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuomintang after the death of Sun Yat-sen   http://www.britannica.com/biography/Sun-Yat-sen.
