Dark City

Another unwritten story
Dark City

While I was writing this crime fiction story, it was easy for me to picture the grimy background I set the story in; I was born, and lived for five years in the shadows of one of the largest iron foundaries in the UK. Months after we moved, the iron works at Cargo Fleet, Middlesborough closed thier doors; now, even the iron works at nearby Redcar are silent.
The Trade Unions forced the price of British Steel so high since the 1980s, it is cheaper to import the steel from Sweden. Rather than protecting the jobs of the workers, which is the point of the Union movement, they have cost jobs; but the bosses don't mind as they gave themselves huge bonusses, this is the main reason shops and firms are closing - not Brexit - how can they award high bonusses when they do little work?
