Near death above the Rhine

About two months ago, I saw an ad for a horror story contest on the Inkitt site. I don't usually enter contests, but I thought I would give this a go; after all near death does count as horror, and I have had my share of near death experiences - read Death of a news hound https://www.draft2digital.com/book/62636
I never expected the story to get anywhere, most of the other stories had masses of reads, and comments, but my story was so impressive it will be highlighted on the site.

One Easter during my tour of Germany, some friends and myself went for a trip down the Rhine valley. On the other side of the river to Koblenz is a lovely castle; which I wanted to see. However, the only way up is by ski-lift, not good with a fear of heights, read about my near death experience  http://www.inkitt.com/stories/10078

A picture of the castle can be seen in the charity book Faeries, Pixies, and Dragons, Oh my! http://www.amazon.com/dp/1484021568 by The Peacock Writers  http://hereiamattheedge.blogspot.co.uk/p/the-peacock-writers.html#.VT-Qsxz3-ix We are a group of friends who write for children's charities, and we do not see a dime from the sale of our books.
