If I vanish

Sometime between now and February I might disappear for a few days, this is because I may be going into hospital for an operation on my heart.
I was born with the muscle disorder EDS  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ehlers%E2%80%93Danlos_syndrome which causes COPD  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COPD  usually associated with smokers, even though I never (!) smoked cigarettes, I had to breath in my parents smoke for many years and this second hand smoke is the cause-this was a major factor in my giving up smoking a pipe for my children http://uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/quit-smoking-little-girl-124800633.html

Another symptom of my illness is a heart disorder known as  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypertrophic_cardiomyopathy which means the left segment hasn't formed properly. This is the major cause of young athletes suddenly dying. One of the operations doesn't sound too bad; a small tube is inserted into the malformed segment and injected with a measured dose of alcohol to simulate a heart attack to kill some cells. The other option involves a femoral artery insertion under local anaesthetic to deflate the right segment, then insert a balloon in my left segment to reflate the heart-not looking forward to either, but what choice do I have?
